The Epistle of the Yearly Meeting is posted in the 2008 Annual Session folder.  Minutes and other epistles will be posted as they are received.

For some photos of the Annual Gathering, go to the Western Friend website (http://westernfriend.org/) and click on the Photo Gallery button on the left.  This will take you to a Flickr page where you can select IMYM photos.  Thanks to Kathy Hyzy, new Editor of the Western Friend (previously Friends Bulletin).

Andrew Peterson and Lydia Eckels to do FPT work with AGLI in Burundi

From Mike Gray , JSP Coordinator:  "The greatest thing about my job is the chance to get to know the participants who show up on projects...This summer, I know of two past participants from the JSP who will be in Africa with the African Great Lakes Initiative of the Friends Peace Teams...AGLI is a good, effective organization. As someone in the workcamp business, I’m impressed with their work and their organization."

Mike is writing about Andrew Peterson and Lydia Eckels.  Andrew is the son of Jerry and Laura Peterson (Mountain View), and has just served two years as Grants Manager at FCNL..  Jerry reports that Andrew is blogging about his FPT AGLI Burundi experiences on "All Quiet on the Quaker Front" at http://quakerfront.com/  and the AGLI work is described at http://aglionline.org.  Lydia and Andrew fund transportation, living, and work expenses by donations (use either website or contact Mike Gray) .  

  1. If you are a member or attender of a monthly meeting or worship group in IMYM, you may obtain a 2008 Directory for the Annual Gathering  from Bob Gaines.  Please specify file type required (.xls, .pdf, or .html).  This Directory is not to be used for any mass mailing purposes, Quaker or otherwise.
  2. If your Monthly Meeting may be interested in its own website hosted free on imym.org, email Bob Gaines.
  3. If your IMYM activity needs a place on the website or if you have material that should be posted, email Jim Mills.
  4. To download and read pdf files, you will need a pdf reader, which can be downloaded free from sites linked in the menu at the left.
