Welcome to the 2026 IMYM Annual Gathering!
Please join us for our annual gathering! Whether you come virtually or in person, for the first time or the umpteenth time, we want you to be part of the joyful community we are building.
In keeping with our theme, we will focus on delighting in our intergenerational group and at the same time we will not shy away from exploring difficult things.
Please know that we are working to make this gathering accessible to all. We are very excited that people 18 and under will be completely free of cost. Your presence is what creates the community. If the cost for adults seems concerning or prohibitive, please pay only what feels comfortable. IMYM has a tradition of encouraging and accepting Pay-as-Led. For example: If you have financial abundance, please share it, so all can participate. If your resources are tight just now, pay only what you can.
If you are coming online, we hope to make your experience as rich and inclusive as we know how to.
That you participate as you desire or are led is what truly matters.
Welcome Friends, let the joy grow!
-- The Program Planning Group
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS This year’s gathering will bring a spacious and flexible schedule with opportunities for worship, fellowship, discernment and play. Our plenary sessions will include: From IMYM to We-MYM: Building Community through Puzzles & Play Are you a video game guru, a Quaker history wiz, an ambitious athlete, a quiet contemplator, or that-person-who-can-sing-the-lyrics-to-every-Taylor-Swift-song? We need you on the team! Diverse groups generate more creative and successful solutions to problems, and working together to overcome obstacles builds empathy and connection. What better way to experience these aphorisms than through play (and maybe even a little friendly competition–gasp)? In this plenary we’re taking get-to-know-you games to the next level! We’ll join in multi-age groups to embark on a quest to solve puzzles and encounter fun through unexpected challenges. Who knows - maybe along the way we’ll discover unforeseen solutions to growing and deepening our beloved, intergenerational IMYM community. LODGING We'll be staying in West Hall at Fort Lewis College. If you have special needs, questions, or just want help registering for Annual Gathering, please email registrar@imym.org |
Community Camping Friends, Early Days Campout will be on June 14 to 17, Sunday night to Tuesday night. IMYM has reserved six campsites at Junction Creek Campground National Park which is 5 miles from Durango. We will have a pot luck gathering on Tuesday evening at the group picnic area. This campground also has first come first serve sites that can be obtained if the six sites are already taken. You can also reserve a campsite at recreation.gov. If you plan to camp after the start of Yearly Meeting you can get one of these first come first serve sites. Questions? Email Camping@IMYM.org to connect with our camping coordinator. The location will be at the same state park as last year. For an overview, visit: JUNCTION CREEK CAMPING |

Menus typically reflect seasonal availability, and summer offerings often include lighter fare, fresh produce, and flexible options for different appetites. Please Note: ATTENDING THE GATHERING ONLINE? You are warmly invited to participate in the Gathering online. Friends online will be able to join all the sessions taking place in the plenary space -worship, plenaries and other whole-group activities- sharing in the central life of the Gathering as it unfolds. In addition to plenary session, online participants will have opportunities for worship sharing and other online offerings that support connection and community. Offering an online option is one way we seek to widen access to the Gathering, making it possible for more Friends to participate. We're committed to creating an online experience that connects Friends to the heart of the Gathering, wherever they are. (more information coming soon) NEXT GENERATION
Beloved Community includes Friends of every age. At IMYM, our children, teens, and young adults are not just the future—they are the present. We offer age-specific programs that honor their voices, experiences, and gifts, while also creating opportunities for connection across generations. We can’t wait to welcome our young Friends, the Next Generation, to another year of growth, joy, and shared community.

CYM Children’s Yearly Meeting, for young people entering Kindergarten through 5th grade, aims to create a safe and nourishing space where young people can build community and explore shared values. This summer’s program will explore themes of community and belonging through storytelling, art, and imaginative play. Children’s Yearly Meeting program coordinator, Elizabeth Freyman, is a long-time educator with experience working in Waldorf and Montessori schools and is a genuinely wonderful and inspiring person. She leads the First Day School and youth programs at Albuquerque Monthly Meeting. | JYF Junior Young Friends, for young people entering grade 6th through 9th is a community-building experience of sharing fun and friendship, exploring peace and justice, and practicing spirit-led business and worship sharing. We will have discussions, an out trip, games, skits, cantina, and a community art project. This year we welcome Elliotte Enochs as the JYF Coordinator. Elliotte, from Mountain View Friends Meeting and previously IMYM SYF, has stepped forward with excitement and joy. They are a community and social justice student, have served as a community organizer and lobbyist at FCNL, is a theater lover, and overall, someone who deeply cares about progress and people. Welcome Elliotte! And welcome Junior Young Friends! | SYF Senior Young Friends is a program for High School sophomore through young adult aged people. The Senior young friends seek to foster a community of young people all across the four corners area! The program consists of 4 days where we and our friendly adult presence (3 adults who have generously agreed to keep an eye on us and ensure that everything is done safely) embark on fun adventures such as a trip to the beautiful Lake Nighthorse, wandering around the cozy little town of Durango CO for an afternoon, or just plain exploring the Fort Lewis Campus! |
Pay as Led Registration for IMYM Annual Gathering is again based on a "pay as led" model. Pay as led means that when you register, the cost to IMYM of your attendance will be calculated based on your choices. You will be invited to pay that amount or you can pay less or more, as you are led. If you are able, we invite you to contribute beyond your own costs to help sustain our beloved community and ensure that IMYM continues to thrive for years to come. Our monthly meetings also contribute to make this possible. Please know our goal is to include every single person who would like to attend - whether virtually for a few hours if that’s what your life circumstances allow, or in person for some of the time or the entire time. We understand that there are many costs that impact Annual Gathering affordability: income, time off from work, travel, food, housing, and other life circumstances. If cost is the only obstacle to your attendance, we want you to know that our community wants you to attend. We are all enriched by increasing attendance; registration for IMYM Annual Gathering is again based on a “Pay as Led” model. | Accessibility IMYM “seeks to create an inclusive environment that encourages full participation of all in the life of our Yearly Meeting (Minute 20190614(b))”. Fort Lewis College complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and works with IMYM planners to make our gathering accessible. Your registration packet includes space to let us know your needs for any accommodations. Join us in Durango to enjoy the mountains, participate in our programs and activities, and seek the guidance of Spirit. Help us do better each year to make IMYM a truly inclusive, welcoming experience for all. Volunteers Each year IMYM relies on the gifts of volunteers to help create a meaningful and welcoming Annual Gathering - both in-person and online. There are many ways to contribute, big and small, and we encourage all who are able to step in and lend a helping hand. That said, we recognize that not everyone is in a position to volunteer, and we honor the different seasons of life we each find ourselves in. Whether you choose to volunteer or not, your presence at Annual Gathering is deeply valued, and we hope you will participate in whatever way feels right for you. If you are able to volunteer you will be given an opportunity to indicate your interest during registration. |
Quakerism leans counter-cultural in a world driven by ego, noise, power struggles, and division. But our witness—grounded in simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship—is exactly what the world needs right now. Whether you have attended Annual Gathering for years or are considering coming for the first time, you are an essential part of this beloved community. Join us as we step forward together, courageously with care, to create a space of belonging, joy, and spiritual deepening.
